Christmas Time's A'Coming!

Despite my tumble down the back stairs the day before Thanksgiving, in spite of my broken bone, twisted ankle, and very GREEN cast, Christmas is coming at the Martin house.

Uncle Tracy, Nan-Nan, Grandma & Pawpaw, and all the Caldwell angels are making sure we still have a little holiday spirit.
COOKIE BAKING

I promised Ellen we'd make cookies when Uncle Tracy came to visit.  And so we did.
Despite her injuries.
And mine.
Nothing like rolling out cookies with a broken ankle (well, technically it's the fibula).
"Mommy!  It's like playdough!"

Actually, it's REAL dough.
PRETTY DRESSES

TREE PRIMPING

A sweet church member brought over a tiny tree to give our house a touch of Christmas while Mommy is convalescing.
Ellen got to help fix the tree.
And turn on the lights.

Halloween "for real"

E decided she wanted to be a ballerina sometime in the summer I think, so I went looking for ballerina outfit that was NOT pink.  (The part 1 outfit from Saturday's festival was just a leotard and skirt handed down for actual ballet class, but it did the trick for something washable!) Ended up buying a clearance/surplus recital costume and a coordinating tutu for less than a pre-fab "ballerina halloween costume."  YAY Mom.

Even a ballerina can't resist a great tree swing!

E's fairy godmother somehow became a witch doctor!

A tired little ballerina finally made it to Grandma's.

E's "spare big brother," grandson of her beloved Nan-nan.

E thinks he's "the best boy ever."
